Sherry Aanes

Sherry Aanes, age 61, of Brainerd died Saturday, August 09, 2008 at Bethany Good Samaritan Village. Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 13, at 10 am, at Park United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rory Swenson officiating. Friends may visit at the church during the hour prior to services. Interment will be at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls.
Sherry Lynn Marquart was born October 17, 1946 in Mora, to Paul and Goldie (Cross) Marquart. She was united in marriage to Gary Aanes in Mora on June 29, 1968. She worked as a secretary for ISD 544 in Fergus Falls for twenty two years. She and Gary moved to Baxter in 2005. She was a member of Park United Methodist Church.

Sherry is survived by Gary, her husband of forty years; her sons, Paul (Patti) Aanes, of Brainerd, Ryan (Heather) Aanes, of Brainerd, and Michael Aanes, of Dalton; her mother, Goldie Marquart; her sisters, Marilee (Marc) Jensen, of Mora, and Melissa (Tim) Simon, of Woodbury; her grandchildren, Jacob, Nathan, Lily, Ava, and Ethan; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, David (Karen) Aanes, of Fergus Falls; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her father; her mother-in-law, Ruth Clark; and her grandparents.
