Shelly M. Crosby, 34, of Browerville, MN and Severn, MD, died Wednesday, December 26, 2007 at the Lakewood Health Systems Hospital in Staples, MN. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 AM, Saturday, December 29 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples with Pastor Brian Burton officiating. Friends are welcome to visit Friday evening at the funeral home from 5-7 PM. Interment will follow services at Riverside Cemetery in Moran Township, MN.
Shelly was born September 28, 1973 in Parkers Prairie, MN, the daughter of Frank and Cheryl (Mahutga) Tepley. After graduating from Staples High School, Shelly enlisted in the US Navy where she served for nine years. After her honorable discharge, Shelly worked for the National Security Administration at Fort Meade, MD until she was diagnosed with cancer.

Shelly was married to William VanCrosby and the couple had one daughter, Nadia. Shelly loved being a mom. She enjoyed reading, holistic medicine, movies, garage sales, and snowmobiling. Shellys passion for the outdoors made her a true advocate for the preservation of all animals and wildlife.

Shelly will be dearly missed by her husband, Van Crosby, of Severn, MD; her daughter, Nadia; her parents, Frank and Cheryl Tepley, of Browerville, MN; her sister, Audra (Chuck) Steffen, of St. Michael, MN; her brother, Scot (Sheila) Tepley, of St. Cloud, MN; and her maternal grandmother, Beverly Mahutga, of Eagle Bend, MN.

Shelly was preceded in death by her brother, Craig.
