Sharon Dumbeck

Sharon Dumbeck, 76, of Brainerd, passed away peacefully Thursday, March 27, 2014 at St. Cloud Hospital. Family and friends are invited to gather starting at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 1, 2014 with a Celebration of her life at 3:30 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.

Sharon was born November 27, 1937, in Perham, MN, the daughter of Lloyd and Leaffy (Layman) Hinch. In 1956, she was united in marriage to Frank Dumbeck and they spent 57 years watching the sun rise and the sun set over the lakes. Being married to a tank mechanic required Sharon to rise to the occasion – and she did. She was an excellent cook, baker, photographer, gardener, seamstress, and canner. She also enjoyed the outdoors – fishing, camping and campfires with family and friends. She liked to travel to Alaska, California, Alberta Canada, Baja Mexico, Idaho and Montana. Nothing was more special to Sharon then Friday night dinners around the fire pit – she loved the laughter at hearing old fishing tales and the smiles on her loved ones’ faces.

She will be missed by her husband, Frank; children, Teresa (Peter), of CA, Frank, of Lake Shore, and Tim (Krista), of Nisswa; grandchildren, Leslie, Brian, Jessica, Erika, Emily, Zach, and Ben; six great-grandchildren; and brother, Craig. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Lavon and Letha; and brothers, Dwight and Bill.
