Scott Swenson

Scott Swenson, age 44, of Baxter, died March 2, 20009 at Lakewood Health System in Staples after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday at the Lord of Life Church in Baxter with Pastor Erika Nilsen officiating with visitation one hour prior to the services at the church. All family and friends are welcome. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
He was born April 18, 1964 in Rochester, MN to George and Beverly Swenson. He was a 1982 graduate of Staples High School. He was a machinist and had been employed at Onan Corporation in Fridley, Heartland Machine and Tool, Inc in Brainerd and most recently at 3M in Staples. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, hunting, fishing and working with his hands repairing things.

Scott is survived by his wife, Kelly Cooper-Swenson; his sons, Tom and Ben; his parents, George and Beverly Swenson; and his brother, Tod (Cheri Westin) Swenson. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, George and Eva Swenson and Fred and Irma Huebner and a brother Craig.
