Sandy Eliason

Sandy J. Eliason, 88, of Crosslake, MN died at Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby, MN on Monday, July 17, 2017. Funeral Services for Sandy will be held on Saturday, July 22, 2017 at 11:00AM at Crosslake Presbyterian Church in Crosslake, MN with visitation beginning one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will be at Benton County Cemetery in Sauk Rapids, MN.

Sandy was born on November 12, 1928 in Austin, MN to Nicholas and Lydia (Sandy) Miller. She was raised in Flint, MI. Sandy graduated from the University of Minnesota with a business degree and an elementary education degree. She was married to Allen Eliason in St. Cloud, MN in August of 1960. Sandy enjoyed quilting, working in her flower gardens, and reading. She was very active in the DFL Party. She was a member of the St. Cloud School Board, League of Women Voters, First Methodist Church in St. Cloud, MN, and a Crosslake City Council member. Sandy was a founding member of the Crosslake Presbyterian Church and also a founding member of the Crosslake Library. Sandy loved being an elementary teacher and later worked as an agent for the Internal Revenue Service in the Minneapolis, MN area for over 16 years.

Sandy is survived by husband, Allen Eliason; children, Mark Eliason, and Lisa (Arthur) Eliason Brakob; sister, Arloyne Miller; and two grandchildren, Ella Brakob and Nicholas Brakob. She was preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Lydia Miller; and sisters, Mary Pat Eliason and Jerry Prevatt. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Crosslake, MN.J.
