Sandra Marolf

Sandra Elizabeth Marolf, 65, a life-long Brainerd resident, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at the St. Josephs Medical Center in Brainerd. A Memorial Service for Sandra is scheduled for 11:00 AM, Friday, January 25 at Park United Methodist Church in Brainerd with Pastor Rory Swenson officiating. Friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services at the church. Interment will follow services at Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd.
Sandra was born May 31, 1942 in Brainerd, the daughter of Lloyd and Mardelle (Palmer) Avery. She graduated from Brainerds Washington High School in 1960. She also graduated from nursing school in the Twin Cities. For many years, Sandra worked as a nurse. She was also active volunteering for a number of organizations, including: TCC Center where she read to children, Womens Shelter, Alex and Brandons Home, Northwestern Hospital Mental Health, St. Josephs Medical Center, and the MS Society.

Sandra will be missed by her daughter, Monica Marolf; her grandson, Zachary Swift, both of Brainerd; many family and friends; and special caretakers, Pat Waldorf and Shannon Wirth. She was preceded in death by her parents.
