Sandra Adams

Sandra L. Adams, 68, of Nisswa, died Sunday, June 23, 2013 at the St. Cloud Hospital. Services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, July 1, 2013 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services and stay following services for a reception in the Brenny Funeral Chapel Reception Room. Interment will take place at 12:00 PM, Tuesday, July 2 at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis.

Sandie was born May 4, 1945, in St. Paul, MN, the daughter of Howard J. and Arlene C. (Smith) Ziemer. She was raised in Maplewood and graduated from Mechanic Arts High School and Beauty School. She worked for 23 years for St. Paul's Painters Union. She was a member and the secretary and treasurer of the Office of Professional Employees International Union, Local 12. Sandie enjoyed her retirement with her husband, Tom in the Nisswa area and their winters in Florida. She liked to hunt, fish, and travel. She also did painting, needlework, and sewing. She enjoyed discussing unions and politics.

Sandie will be missed by her husband, Tom; her daughter, Alicia (Tom Macalus) Gordon, of Stillwater, MN; son, Anthony (Kim) Fern, of Seattle, WA; brother, William (Teri) Ziemer, of White Bear Lake; sister, Karen (Bill) Whaley; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
