Sabina Anderson

Sabina Anderson, 72, of Brainerd, died at her home July 13, 2011. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd with Father Tony Wroblewski officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services at the church.

Sabina Theresa (Lesnar) Anderson was born on September 29, 1938 in Grenville, SD, the daughter of James and Pelagia (Pionk) Lesnar. She graduated from high school in Grenville and received her Cosmetology License in Watertown, SD. Sabina moved to St. Paul, MN, where she worked as a cosmetologist for Donaldson's. She met Conrad and was married in the St. Paul Cathedral. The couple moved to Brainerd in 1970 to raise their family. They opened "Sabina's Salon of Beauty" in downtown Brainerd and continued to make Brainerd beautiful and tell jokes for the next 33 years. She also enjoyed playing solitaire ad collecting frogs. She is remembered as a strong woman whose faith in the Lord helped her through life, especially the death of her soulmate, Conrad in 2001.

Sabina is survived by her daughter, Wendy (William) Inman, of Couer d'Alene, Idaho; sons, Conrad "Andy" (Lisa Protelsch), of South St. Paul and Chad (Dina Sorenson), of Prescott, WI; and her seven grandchildren, Fallon, Jasmine, Billie, Isabelle, Bryn, Grayson, and Connor.
