Ruth Masters

Ruth Lois Masters, 84, of Swatara, passed away February 8, 2011 at Grand Itasca Hospital in Grand Rapids, MN. Private family services will be held.

Ruth was born November 2, 1926, in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Eric and Anna (Carlson) Holmlund. She was one of eleven children. Following the death of her father in 1934, Ruth's mom raised the children on her own. Ruth had some struggles early in her life, but she made the most of them and her last 30 years were some of the best. She truly enjoyed owning and operating her own floral and gift shop in Remer. With her son, Peter's help they created a unique shop full of interesting details.

Ruth will be missed by her son, Peter Gordienko, of Swatara. She was preceded in death by her parents and all ten of her siblings.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
