Ruth Ione Annett/Dickey (nee Astrum), age 90, from Pequot Lakes, went to be with Our Lord on March 27, 2013. She was born May 8, 1922, was the oldest of ten children and grew up in Walker, Minnesota.
Preceded in death by parents, Carl and Hannah Irene (nee Bengtson) Astrum; husband, Howard; sisters, Alice Jean and Helen LaRow (Armand); brothers, Jack and Richard; son, Mike Dickey; and grandsons, Matthew Dickey and Brian Fitzgerald.
Survived by children: Judy Skinner, James Annett, Beth Fitzgerald and Melissa Boonstra; sisters: Dorothy Forrest, Gladys Vredenburg, Karen Astrum, Anna Marie Landsteiner (Vince); brother, Dale; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Ruth was known in the area as "The Raspberry Lady" and has lived in Jenkins since 1990, having been a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church for most of that time.
Services will be 11 AM, Monday, April 1, at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Pequot Lakes, with Pastor Donna Olsen officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.
