Ruth Christle, age 87, of Staples, died Friday, July 16, 2004, at North Country Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bemidji. Funeral services will be Monday, July 19, 2 p.m., at Staples Assembly of God Church, with Reverend Roy Miles officiating. Friends may visit Sunday, July 18, 5-7 p.m., also at the church. Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples.
Ruth Marvel Bostrom was born March 3, 1917 in Leader, to Olaf and Caroline (Williams) Bostrom. She grew up and attended school in Leader. She was united in marriage to Matthew Christle , and was a homemaker. She enjoyed the outdoors, and loved to feed birds and squirrels. She very much enjoyed the company of her cat and took very good care of it. She had lived in the Nursing and Rehab Center for the past year.
Ruth is survived by a daughter, Jean (John) Williams, of Solway; three stepchildren, Ervin Christle, of Rice, Richard Christle, of St. Cloud, and Myrtle Hartfield, of Sauk Rapids; and a sister, Marie Gobel, of Staples. Her parents, her husband, and siblings Harry, Opal Mudick, Ruby Nelson, and Harold Bostrom preceded her in death.
