Ruth Emma Brown, 88, of Pine River, formerly of Hackensack, Mn, died on Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at Whispering Pines Good Samaritan in Pine River. As were her wishes, there will be no services. Memorials may be sent to 312 S. Birch St. Hackensack, Mn. 56452.
She was born Aug. 21, 1922 to Alex and Emma Trout. She enjoyed fishing, working in her gardens, dancing and having a few beers with her family. She was known for the best pickles and homemade apple pies. She always had time for her children, grandchildren and grandchildren and will be dearly missed by all.
Ruth is survived by her two daughters, Sandra Brown and Laura Verdeja; four grandchildren, Mike Standfield, Jody (Richard) Rasmusson, Curt (Tara) Standfield
and Jose' Verdeja; five great-grandchildren, Dion Standfield, Lexi Standfield, Mandy Rasmusson, Austin Standfield and Cedar Verdeja; brothers, Rueben (Bea) Trout and Rudolph (Carol) Trout; and many other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents Alex and Emma Trout; husband, Leonard Brown; sisters, Emily Kranz, Meta Doerr, Emma Stewart and Marie Stubblefield; and brothers, Alex Trout, Jr, and Fred Trout.
