Ruby Jepperson

Ruby Elizabeth Jepperson, age 86, of Brainerd, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015. She was born to Carl and Frances (Kotzea) Jepperson on November 30, 1928, in Waubay, SD. Ruby's family moved to the Jenkins area in 1934. She graduated from Pine River High School and went on to attend Teacher's College in St. Cloud and Little Falls. She worked in the Payroll Department at the University of Minnesota as a Data Entry Clerk retiring as a Data Entry Specialist after 37 years. Ruby was a member of TOPS, the U of M Data Entry Bowling Team and also volunteered at the Pequot Lakes Schools. She enjoyed family, friends, reading and travel and had a wonderful unique sense of humor.

Ruby is survived by her sister, Marie Windsor; sister-in-law, Judy Jepperson; nieces and nephews: Paula Goetzke, Rod Romine (Jill Macnamara), Connie Howe (Dan), Christine Schuchhardt (Brian), Vicki Ruckstuhl; and many great nieces, nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; infant brother, John; infant sister, Pearl; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gloria and Rodney Romine and Opal and Charles Schumacher; brother, Carl Jepperson; niece, Carolyn Romine; and nephew-in-law, Rick Ruckstuhl.

Memorial service will be 1 PM on Saturday, May 23, at Bethany Good Samaritan Society Chapel, Brainerd. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorials are preferred to H.A.R.T. Animal Rescue, Lakes Area Food Shelf or the Bethany Activity Fund. Arrangements are with Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes.
