Rosemary Oswald

Rosemary (Rosie) Ann Barbara Pikula Oswald, 65, entered into eternal peace on Wednesday, September 30th 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Rosemary was born July 3rd 1950, the first daughter of the late Floyd J and Edna M Pikula. She graduated from Brainerd High School and continued her education at the Brainerd Technical College. She started her life long career working at the Brainerd State Hospital and later continued her career with Lutheran Social Services. Rosemary was actively involved in many organizations, boards, and community activities. She enjoyed arts and crafts along with helping others and coordinating events for her family and friends. She married Irvine C. Oswald in 1976 and together they enjoyed 5 children; Dawn M. Larson, Dennis (Marty) M. Oswald, Mary G. (Derek) Fredrickson-Wang, Marie M. Oswald, and the youngest Christopher I. Oswald. She had 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren all of which enjoyed their special times with their grandmother. Rosemary was proceeded in death by her husband Irvine C. Oswald, her parents Floyd and Edna (Dowling) Pikula, her brother Terrance (Terry) Pikula, and baby sister Denise Pikula. Her soul and constant spirit will be forever missed by her family and longtime friends.
Visitation will be from noon to 1pm, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 1pm, Friday, Oct. 9th, at St. Francis Catholic Church in Brainerd. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to join us following the service at St. Francis Church to share memories and enjoy a light luncheon.
