Rosemary Jex

Rosemary Jex, age 78, of Motley, passed away Saturday morning at Lakewood Health System Hospital in Staples. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM Wed. December 17, 2008, at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Motley. Visitation will be for one hour prior to Services at the Church on Wednesday. Interment will be in Scandia Valley Cemetery near Lincoln, MN. Memorials preferred to Lakewood Health System Fondation.
Rosemary Ann Jex was born on March 25, 1930, in St. Cloud, MN, the daughter of Peter and Rose (Betz) Gaida. She was married to Richard Jex on July 11, 1949, in St. Cloud, MN. They were long time residents of Minneapolis. Following Richards retirement in 1987, they wintered in Naples, FL, and spent the past 22 summers on Lake Shamineau. She enjoyed collecting shells and a good game of Bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter and Rose; brother, Dan Gaida; and sisters, JoAnn Wander, Josephine Spaeth, Gen Cota, Lores Steichen, and Margie Helgeson. Rosemary will be lovingly missed by her husband of 59 years, Richard; daughters, Sandy (John) Koehnen of Motley, and Pat (Bill) Schafer of Brooklyn Center, MN; son, Bob (Kathy) Jex of St. Michaels, MN; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; sisters Ly Lardy of Waite Park, MN and Mary Ann Sauer of St. Peter, MN; brothers, Bob Gaida of Cold Spring, MN, and Peter (Betty) Gaida of Holdingford, MN.
