Rosella "Rosie" Trahan

Rosella “Rosie” Mae Trahan, 89, died Wednesday June 19, 2019, at Essentia Health - St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd, MN. Services will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday June 26, 2019 at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. There will also be another service at 11:00 AM on Friday June 28, 2019 at Bierman Funeral Home in Northfield, MN. Interment will be at Redrose Cemetery in Northfield, MN.

Rosella was born on June 29, 1929 to Warren and Evelyn (Howland) Simpson in Northfield, MN. She stayed in the area, working for the school district as a bus driver as well as a cafeteria cook. Rosella married her loving husband, Gaynerd, on August 1, 1948 in Northfield. She loved hunting and fishing- often preparing meals for the hunters to keep them warm. Rosella enjoyed hanging with her ‘park family,’ and her cat, Dusty. She was caught more than once falling asleep with her fishing pole or a deck of cards in hand. Rosella was active in the Lions Club of Garrison. Rosella will be remembered as a kind hearted people person, and will be dearly missed.

Rosella is survived by many nieces, nephews, and other loving family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband and parents.
