Rose Brown

Rose Brown, age 82, of Staples, MN, died Saturday, August 18, 2001. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 AM on Monday, August 27th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Staples with Father Tim Wenzel officiating. Visitation and Prayers will begin at 6:00 PM on Sunday evening at the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples. Burial will be in the Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Staples. Arrangements are with the Brenny Funeral Home in Staples.
Rose Brown was born on February 26, 1919 in Strasburg, ND to Zacheus and Eva (Brickner) Bachmeier. It was in this area that she grew up and attended school. On October 2, 1941, Rose was united in marriage to Joseph B. Brown at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Krassna, ND. They lived and farmed in Emmons County until moving to Staples in 1963. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rose enjoyed playing cards and bingo.

Rose is survived by 3 daughters: S, Rosae Brown SSND of Little Falls, MN, Dorothy (Allan) Goeden of Grand Rapids, MN and Donna (Kent) Nordell of Staples; 6 grandchildren: Jeremy Allan, Joel Michael, Joshua Jon and Jessica Eva Goeden and Tyler Kent and Rebecca Rose Nordell; 1 great-grandson, Christian Allan Goeden; 2 sisters: Alvina Nagel of Linton, ND and Cecilia Logan of Mandan, ND; 1 brother, Edwin Bachmeier of Bismarck, ND, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Joseph; 2 sons: Ron and Richard; 2 brothers: John and Tony and 1 sister, Gertrude.
