Rosanna Richard, 90, of Brainerd, died Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Good Samaritan Village - Woodland Campus. Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, November 28, 2015 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are welcome to gather one hour prior to services. Interment will be at a later date at Wildwood Cemetery in Pillager.
Rosanna was born March 5, 1925, in Chassell, MI, the daughter of Adolph and Delia (LaMour) Adams. She attended primary school and during WWII she wired cockpits in Bombers at a Bomber Plant in Michigan - she was known as one of the "Rosy the Riveters". In 1941, she married Ernest E. Richard and the family they created was very important to her. She was a homemaker who also worked as an Avon Representative, a job she enjoyed for more than 30 years. She enjoyed helping people in need, especially giving them a place to stay. She volunteered at Woodland Good Samaritan Village.
She is survived by her children, David, of Monticello and Debra (Robert) Roepke, of Brainerd; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ernest; and daughter, Joan Ann Leong.
