Ronald "Ron" Shepard

Ronald “Ron” F. Shepard, 66, of Nisswa died Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the Veterans Medical Center in Minneapolis.  A Celebration of Ron’s life will be on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 from 5-8PM with a time of sharing at 7PM at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Pequot Lakes.

Ron was born November 24, 1952 in Hopkinton, Massachusetts to Clifford Sr. and Mary (Barrows) Shepard.  He proudly served our country in the United Sates Marines.  He married Catherine Mayes on April 10, 1975 until her passing.  Ron later married Patricia “Patty” Wiggins on June 25, 1983 until her passing. Ron experienced many great losses in his life, but never looked at it as a hardship instead he made a point to look on the bright side and always showed his appreciation for his family. He was employed for over 30 years as a maintenance “Jack of all trades” at Camp Lincoln/ Camp Lake Hubert until his retirement.  Ron enjoyed Walleye fishing, deer hunting, watching wrestling and westerns, and taking immaculate care of his lawn (every line being perfectly parallel to the previous).  He was goofy, amazing, strong, and a “cool tool.”  Ron loved his family and extended family beyond words and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Ron is survived by his two daughters, Catherine “Cat” Rowland, Tasha Shepard; grandchildren, Victorea, Brian, Odin; great grandson, Rowden “Roo” Ard; siblings, Mary Plouffe, April Strickland, Stanley Shepard, Roger (Sue) Shepard; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Catherine and Patricia “Patty”; children, Ronald Shepard, Shawna Shepard, Corey Shepard; and brother, Clifford Shepard Jr.

In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
