Ronald Nielsen

Ronald Nielsen, 57, of Brainerd, passed away at home on Saturday, June 12, 2021 after a long battle with cancer. Funeral service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Fort Ripley Cemetery.

Ronald was born on April 11, 1964 in Minneapolis, MN to Clarence and Helen (Reiter) Nielsen. Ronald moved to the Brainerd Lakes area and worked for ISD 181 for over 20 years as both a custodian and an engineer. He enjoyed fishing, mowing lawn, and spending time at the family cabin. Family was of the upmost importance to Ronald, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents Clarence and Helen Nielsen; brother James Nielsen; and granddaughter Jassalyn.

Ronald is survived by his children Kristine, Sarah (Curt) Ross, Joshua (Alyssa) Nielsen; sisters Linda (Paul) Koob, and Sharon (Rod) Hofer; and 9 grandchildren.
