Ronald Bement

Ronald E. Bement, age 48, of Brainerd, passed away late Thursday evening at his home in Brainerd after a courageous battle with cancer for the last 9 months. Memorial Services will be 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 27, 2008, at the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter. Friends may call beginning at 4:00 PM Wednesday until time of services. Private family interment will be at a later date in Oak Grove Cemetery of rural Brainerd.
Ronald Edwin Bement was born on Aug. 23, 1959, in Princeton, MN, the son of LaVerne and Charlene (Bock) Bement. He graduated from Park Center High School in Brooklyn Park, MN. After his schooling he went to work with his father and brother in the construction business his uncle owned and operated. In 1983 he married Pamela Froberg, to this union 2 daughters, Jessica and Jaclyn, were born. For the past 11 years he has been employed by Hy-Tec Consrtuction, Inc. of Brainerd. He loved to be in the great outdoors doing a large variety of things including hunting, fishing, camping, dirt bike riding, and snowmobiling. He was an avid NASCAR racing fan. Being a very social person he enjoyed the company of a wide variety of people.

Ron will be lovingly missed by his daughters, Jessica of Brainerd, and Jaclyn of Minneapolis; mother, Charlene (Clayton) Nelson of Ogilvie, MN; father, LaVerne (Helene) Bement of The Villages, FL; fiancée, Brenda Steinert; brother, Randy (Gail) Bement of Pillager; niece, Kayla; nephew, Charlie; and many relatives and friends.
