Roland Mills

Roland LeRoy Mills, 85, born April 11, 1936, to Roy and Effie (White) Mills on their family farm near Brainerd, Minnesota, peacefully and painlessly entered eternal life on May 21, 2021, at the Good Samaritan Society-Bethany Hospice Center in Brainerd after a long battle with ALS and Cancer.

Roland met Annette McGraw of Superior Wisconsin, while working as a painter at Maddens Resort. They were married September 9th, 1961. For more than 59 years they shared a strong bond, working side by side in all aspects of life, from painting/wallpapering to making and selling lawn ornaments and raising four daughters.

Along with his wife, Annette, Roland is survived by four daughters: Twins, Adrianne (Arnold) Bolland and Angela (Phil) Hagel and two younger girls Renae Brosam, and Hope (Alan) Geist, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Roland left his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren a legacy of hard work, good work ethics, and honesty in all circumstances.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, five brothers, five sisters, and his son-in-law Thomas Bonar, Sr.

Services will be held at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel on May 26th at 11 am with a visitation one hour prior.

The burial will take place after the service at Evergreen Memorial Garden, on County Road 3 in Brainerd.
