Roger Prange

Roger Keith Prange died Friday, February 17th, 2012 at John C. Lincoln Deer Valley Hospital in Phoenix, AZ, from complications due to a heart attack. Funeral services are pending.

Roger was born to Lawrence and Anna (Fick) Prange on November 1, 1940 in Waterloo, Iowa. He grew up there and attended West High School. He then enlisted in the Navy where he was assigned to serve on the USS Ticonderoga, 9th Naval District. After the Navy he worked with his father at the family tavern. He then found employment as a High-Liner for the power company and finished his working life at the Grand Casino Mille Lacs, retiring in 2004. His primary pastimes were fly fishing and hunting.

He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Shirley; his step-children RaAnne Petrin of Onamia, Minnesota; Cindy Moreno (Tom) of Virginia Beach, Virginia; Cathy Macaulay (Bill) of Reno, Nevada; Carol Peroddy (Mitch)of Onamia, Minnesota; Bryde Bates (Diane) of Reno, Nevada; Brett Bates (Gina) of Reno, Nevada; his brother Mike of Minneapolis, Minnesota; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
