Roger Franke

Roger Franke, age 71, of Pierz, died Sunday, March 1, 2009 at St. Cloud Hospital. Funeral service will be on Saturday at 11:00 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Hillman, with Pastor Cathie Rhodes officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Little Falls VFW Post # 1112. Burial will be in Dykman Cemetery at a later date.
Roger was born on June 5, 1937 in Gaylord son of Alfred and Medary (Wendorff) Franke. He moved to Pine Center with his parents at an early age. He graduated school at Pine Center and then entered the United States Army. On September 22, 1962 he was united in marriage to Sandra Rehling at Platte Lake Lutheran Church. He worked at Dezuriks in Sartell and Center Valley Saw Mill until his retirement. Roger was a member of the VFW Post 1112 in Little Falls. He enjoyed gardening; jig saw puzzles; dancing; woodworking and making lawn ornaments. He was a fan of the Minnesota Twins and the Vikings.

Roger is survived by his wife, Sandra. His parents preceded him in death.
