Roberta Jones

Roberta ?Berta? Ann Jones, age 68, of Brainerd died Thursday, June 20, 2002 at St. Joseph?s Medical Center in Brainerd. Memorial services will be Thursday, June 27, 2:00 PM, at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Interment will be at the Baxter City Cemetery. Friends may visit on Wednesday, June 26, from 5-8:00 PM, at Brenny Funeral Chapel. Arrangements are with Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
Roberta Ann Peck was born June 30, 1933, in Brainerd, to Wesley C. and Mary ?Florence? (Conrad) Peck. She grew up and attended school in Brainerd. She was married to Emory ?Buck? Jones in Brainerd on October 17, 1953. They made several moves, to California, Colorado, and Oregon, but always returned to Brainerd. Berta had lived in Brainerd since 1966. Years back she had worked as a waitress at the Eagles Club and at the Paul Bunyan Motel, but primarily worked caring for her home and family. She enjoyed playing Bingo, eating out, and shopping.

Roberta Ann Jones is survived by two daughters Wendy (Wayne) Vervalin and Twyla (Ricky) Bourassa, both of Brainerd; two sons Robert (Teri) Jones and Randy Jones, also of Brainerd; four sisters Rella Faye Clark and Joleen Legris, both of Creswell, OR, Charleen LaCasse of Blaine, and Janice Bourassa of Brainerd; two brothers Wesley Peck and Warren Peck, both of Creswell, OR; and four grandchildren Ricky and Ryan Bourassa and Tanya and Loren Jones. Her parents, her husband, and a brother Clifford Peck preceded Roberta in death.
