Roberta Busker

Roberta "Bert" Busker, 92, of Cushing, passed away peacefully Friday, December 9, 2016 at Lakewood Health System Care Center in Staples. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 14, 2016 at the Faith Lutheran Church in Staples. Family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday from 4-7 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples. Interment will be held in Oak Hill Cemetery in Deer Creek.

Born in Staples on December 19, 1923, Bert was the daughter of Ralph and Stella (Kay) Williams. She was baptized in the Lutheran Faith. She attended Lincoln Elementary School and Staples High School before marrying Herman Busker in 1941. The couple was married for 51 years and enjoyed operating farms in Staples, Bertha and Cushing. Bert loved to read, solve word puzzles and play Aggravation. She also had a talent with crochet needles.

She will be missed by the family she adored. She is survived by her children, Lewis Busker, of Henning, Darlene (Richard, Sr.) Gregerson, of Cass Lake, Donna (Clif) Sadlo, of Browerville, Richard Busker, of Cushing, Grace (Cory) Jyrkas, of Cushing, Beverly (Alan) Harrison, of Junction City, KS, Bill (Vicki) Busker, of Browerville, Gloria (Jan) Veiss, of Bemidji, JoAnne (Randy) Dunn, of Benton City, WA, and Verna (Kevin) Olmschenk, of Browerville; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Ethel Bartylla, of Lauderdale, Mona Meech, of Cambridge, and Mary Williams, of Minneapolis; and sister-in-law, Nita Williams, of Staples.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman; three infant children; parents, Ralph and Stella; grandchildren, Larry Busker, Jason Sadlo, Shauna Busker, Shelly Trantina, and Jessica Busker; twin-brother, Robert; brothers, Charles, Eugene, and James; and sister, Margaret. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
