d. September 14, 2006

Robert Joseph Sjoberg was born July 2, 1923 in Minneapolis, to Morris and Abigail (Logan) Sjoberg. He graduated from high school and worked as a machinist and welder for many years. He served in the Army during WWII, doing aircraft maintenance. He was always fascinated with airplanes and flying, and was a private pilot during his younger years. He owned and maintained a hangar where he partially built two planes, the most recent being a float plane. He was a member of the Experimental Aviation Association for many years, and enjoyed attending their annual conferences in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting, and dancing. He will be fondly remembered for his boisterous laugh, which could light up any room. Uncle Bobwill be missed by his nephews, Doug (Georgene) Sandstrom, Dennis (Susan) Sandstrom, Bruce (Barb) Svitak, and Craig (Betty) Svitak; and by his close friend, Phil Hexom. His parents and two sisters, June Sandstrom and Marion Svitak, preceded him in death.
