Robert Samler Jr.

Robert Samler Jr. (JR) 55, of Randall, MN passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 2, 2016 at St. Cloud Hospital in St. Cloud, MN after an 8 year battle with psoriatic arthritis. A Traditional Latin Catholic High Mass for JR will be held on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at 11:00AM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall, MN. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 7, 2016 from 4:00-8:00PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall, MN with a rosary beginning at 4:00PM. Interment will be held at St. James Catholic Church Cemetery.

JR was born on January 17, 1961 in Germany to Robert and Donna Lee (Rasmussen) Samler Sr. He was raised in Los Angeles, CA until the age of 15. He then moved to Randall, MN and graduated from Little Falls High School in 1979. He met and married the love of his life, Kim Andres in Randall, MN. JR served in the National Guard for 12 years. He worked as an auto body technician, bartender, and at Larson Boats. JR enjoyed sports, especially baseball and softball. His all-time favorite was NASCAR and going to the Brickyard 400 in Indianapolis. JR's greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters. Through his suffering, JR found Jesus Christ and surrendered his life to the Lord. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in St. Cloud, MN.

JR is survived by his wife, Kim; sons, Josh, Cody (Katie), and Tyler; grandchildren, Giselle, Sophia, and Khloe; mom, DeNae; sisters, Robine Mayer and Tonya Maciej (Kelly); brothers, Jeff (Lynn), Greg, and Matthew (Nicole); and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sr. and Donna Lee. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall, MN.
