Robert Morey

Robert "Bob" Paul Morey, 55, died peacefully, Monday, May 26, 2014 in Madison, WI with his family by his side. Bob was born March 3, 1959, in Hayward, WI. He graduated from Portage High School in 1977 and University of Wisconsin - Whitewater in 1981 with a degree in marketing. His retail career began with Kmart and while working in Columbia, MO, Bob transferred to a management position with Wal-Mart. As the Wal-Mart stores expanded North, Bob was excited to return to his favorite state of Wisconsin. He spent more than 20 years with Wal-Mart and retired from a district manager position in 2007. After retirement, Bob received his real estate license and was currently employed with Keller Williams.

Bob, first and foremost, was a diehard Green Bay Packers fan. He was also an avid golfer and loved to fish both during the summer and winter.

Bob was born to Robert G. and Mary Ann Morey. He is survived by his children, Jacob Robert Morey, of Minnetonka, MN and Melissa Kaye Morey, of St. Louis Park, MN; siblings, Harland (Anna Marie Ambrose) Johnson, of Chapel Hill, NC and Jennifer Buckingham, of Klamath Falls, OR; girlfriend, Sheila Skogen, of Pequot Lakes, MN; and mother of his children, Nancy Morey, of Plymouth, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, May 30 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Brainerd with Pastor Hans Anderson officiating. Family and friends are welcome to gather Thursday evening from 5-8 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter and one hour prior to services at the church on Friday morning.
