Robert Monson

ANSEL TOWNSHIP - Robert Ernest Monson, age 71, resident of Ansel Township, died April 6, 2008 at his home. He was born on November 7, 1936 in Eagle Bend, MN. He lived in foster homes until he was 13. From age 13 to age 18 he lived at the Owatonna State Boys Home. Then, 49 years ago (1959), he came to live with Morris and Stella Kuschel and has been a part of the Rocking K Ranch family until the time of his passing.
Bob loved taking care of his "orphan" calves and kittens, and he helped Miles and Beth get many 4-H animals ready for the Cass County Fair. He really enjoyed fishing, and his trips to Canada with Roy were some of his fondest memories. Bob was also an avid collector of Breyer horses and bulls.
Bob will be greatly missed by Morris and Stella Kuschel, Pat and Tom Wallace & family, Londale and Betsy Kuschel & family, Doug and Paula Kuschel & family, Tom and Linda Kuschel & family, plus many friends.
Services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, April 19 at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, with Pastor Bill Ingvoldstad officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at a later date. Arrangements are with Kline Funeral Home, Pine River.
