Robert Maley

Robert Maley, age 82, of Edina, formerly of Arlington Heights, IL died Sunday, October 7, 2001 at St. Joseph?s Medical Center in Brainerd. Services will be At Washburn McReavy Funeral Chapel in Edina on Friday, October 12 at 1 PM. There will be a visitation with lunch, at noon. Interment will be at Fort Snelling at 2 PM with military honors provided by the Richfield VFW Post #5555. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to the Healing Garden at Bethany Good Samaritan Village. Arrangements are with Brenny Funeral Chapel of Baxter.
Robert Thomas Maley was born September 6, 1919 in Chicago, IL son of Robert William & Lucille (Kiebel) Maley. He was united in marriage to Elaine Milke on January 19, 1945 in Chicago, IL. Robert served in the United States Army during World War 11 from March 17, 1941 to May 19, 1945 and received the Bronze Star. After his honorable discharge he worked as regional manager of Harold M. Pitman Graphic Supplies. He was a member of the Richfield VFW Post #5555. Robert enjoyed golf and gardening.

Robert is survived by daughters, Cheryl (James) Gelbman of Brainerd, MN, Denise (Brian) Schmitz of Robbinsdale, MN, Terrie Maley of Minneapolis, MN; grandchildren, Daniel, Jane, Caitlin and Joe. He was preceded in death by his wife, Elaine.
