Robert Anderson

Robert “Bob” Leroy Anderson, 79, of Staples, passed away peacefully on Wednesday morning the 12 of August 2020. A Celebration of Life will be on Friday, August 14, 2020 at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel- Staples. Visitation will be held one hour prior. Interment will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Camp Ripley.

Robert was born to Eddie and Elsie (Winters) Anderson on November 22, 1940 in Wadena, Minnesota. He was a farmer at heart and worked for many years at the Irrigation Center at Central Lakes College in Staples, MN. He was united in marriage to Shirley McAllister on June 09, 1987 in Alexandria, MN. Robert loved to travel with his wife, visiting both state and national parks, as well as hiking, skiing, sailing, and canoeing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by Shirley, his wife of 33 years; brother Russell; sister Eileen Trout; 4 nephews and 2 nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents Eddie and Elsie Anderson, and his brother Richard Anderson.
