Bob was born September 11, 1943, in Minneapolis, the son of John Edward and Betty Loree (Moberg) Henderson.
Following his graduation from Richfield high school, Bob served in the United States Army as a mechanic. After his service he worked as a mechanic and service manager for the family business at Henderson Honda Bloomington MN, he moved to the Crosslake area in the mid 1980s continuing employment at Brainerd Motors and as a marine/auto mechanic locally in the Crosslake area for years. He was an avid Indy and Formula One fan. The highlight of his career was serving on a pit crew for an Indianapolis 500 race. Bob was a very thoughtful caring man that enjoyed company of friends. He maintained many long term relationships from all aspects of his life.
Bob’s family so appreciate the care and love of the many friends who helped during his illness, especially, Barb & Bill Schilling, Jim Scott and Randi Fisk.
He is survived by his siblings, Scott (Sue) Henderson and Kay (Thomas) Towne; five nieces and nephews; and his best friend, Gary (beloved dog).
Bob never dressed more formally than jeans and shirt – as we gather to celebrate him casual dress is appropriate.
