Robert Lee Heath passed away on the afternoon of November 12, 2023, at his home near Pine River, Minnesota, in the presence of family members. Born April 5, 1931, in Brainerd, Minnesota, to Lee and Mae Heath, Bob was 92 years old. He is survived by his wife, Doris Lovegreen Heath, as well as his two children, Ann Stark (Rohn) of Lahaina, Hawai`i, and David Heath (Carole) of Pine River, Minnesota, and St. James City, Florida.
For more than 70 years Bob was the owner/joint-owner of Heath’s Resort on Whitefish Lake, a family business founded by his parents in 1938. An avid outdoorsman from his youth, Bob loved hunting, fishing, and wildlife, and one of his favorite pastimes was staying at his hunting cabin in the woods. He also loved visiting with family and friends and had the gift of connecting with others through spirited conversation and great joke-telling. The most crucial element of Bob’s life, however, was his deep faith in God and His plan of salvation.
Bob and Doris have always been particularly involved grandparents and great-grandparents, regularly caring for and being active participants in the lives of all. Preceded in death by his granddaughter, Sheena Heath, Bob has four additional grandchildren: Taylor Stark (Anna) of San Jose, California; Britta Heath (Corey Skelton) of Minneapolis, Minnesota; Taryn Stark Wyant (Joshua) of Lahaina, Hawai`i; and Sarah Heath (Brock) of Pequot Lakes, Minnesota. He also has seven great-grandchildren—a grandson and six granddaughters.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, November 19, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Pequot Lakes Baptist Church, 30050 Rasmussen Road, Pequot Lakes, Minnesota. All are welcome to attend.
