Robert Hand

Robert Charles Hand, 83, of Brainerd, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2025. Services are pending. 

Robert was born on June 18, 1941, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Charles and Adrienne (Wunder) Hand. Robert dedicated his career to teaching, shaping the lives of many students with patience and wisdom. Prior to his teaching career, he proudly served his country in the United States Navy. 

Robert married Laura Kohl and together they had two children. He loved spending time with family, fishing, and unwinding in front of the television. His warm presence and gentle humor brought comfort to those around him. After Laura’s passing in 2012, he married Beverly Hackett. 

Robert is survived by his loving wife, Beverly (Hackett) Hand; his sons, Robert (Debbie) Hand and Tony (Pam) Hand; and his stepchildren, Donna (Kevin) Dalen and Danny Hirdler. He also leaves behind his brother, Edward (Mona) Wunder; many cherished grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, along with numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Adrienne, and his first wife, Laura. 

Robert’s kindness, dedication, and love for family will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
