Robert Sylvester Hahn

Robert S Hahn "Bob", 82, of Aitkin, passed away on Veterans Day, November 11, 2023, at his home. Funeral Services will be held on December 2, 2023 at 1:00pm at the Garrison VFW Post #1816. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the start of the service.

Bob was born on August 1, 1941, to Donald and Leona (Neudecker) Hahn in Springfield, MN. He grew up and went to school in the small town of Clements, MN. After graduation, Bob worked at the local butcher to help pay for college. He was married to Diane Hoehn on May 5, 1962, in Mankato, MN, and shortly after Bob enlisted in the Army and served in Vietnam. He was an account manager at Honeywell in both Minneapolis and Alburquerque, NM. Bob was very meticulous, especially in record keeping; however he enjoyed the many family camping trips and his and Diane’s motorcycle trips spanning most of the US. Bob had a passion for woodworking crafting many pieces of furniture, holiday lawn decorations, a canoe, and building and flying model airplanes. He loved hunting, fishing, and pontoon cruises on Round Lake!

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Diane; his son Brian (Donna Hyatt); daughter Christine Hahn; grandchildren Justin Hahn, Justin Parker, Tiffany Parker, Emily Bieganek, Thomas Bieganek, Donald Bieganek, and Dale Ely (Alicia); great-grandchildren Bentley, Anthony, Marley, Landen, Kamil, Alex and Joe. He is preceded in death by his parents Donald and Leona Hahn and his brother, Thomas Hahn.
