Robert Erickson

Robert Endon Erickson “Bob”, 68, of Staples, MN passed away unexpectedly, Monday, November 13, 2017 at his home. Services for Bob will be at 2:00PM, Saturday, November 18, 2017 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, with Father Joe Korf officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to services. Interment with Military Honors will be at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls, MN.

Bob was born January 14, 1949 in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Lowell and Irise (Sarff) Erickson. He grew up in a Military family and graduated from high school in Germany. After high school, he enlisted in the US Navy and served for five years. Bob was united in marriage to Kathryn Mary Williams on July 26, 1975. They were married for 42 years. Bob worked for many years at Williams Floral in Staples. After retiring, he began driving school bus, which he loved. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, sportsman’s club, camping, shooting at the rifle range, and spending time with his grandkids.

Bob is survived by his wife, Kathy; children, Sara (Jeremy) Klomp of East Gull Lake, Erin (Travis) Lynch of Staples, Rory Erickson of Staples, Liam Erickson of Staples; grandchildren, Alyson, Kahner, Karter, Kain, Olivia, Hagen; sister, Karen (Frank) Longworth; brothers, Dennis (Cheryl) Erickson, Keith (Carol) Erickson, Mark (Tonya) Erickson; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lowell and Irise. Services have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
