Robert Engholm

Robert A. Engholm, 95, of Brainerd died on Thursday, June 27, 2013 at Essentia Health/St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd. Services for Robert will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at 11:00AM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN. Visitation will be from 5:00-7:00PM on Monday, July 1, 2013 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter and one hour prior to services on Tuesday. Prayer Service at 6:30PM on Monday. Interment at Evergreen Cemetery in Brainerd, MN with military honors. A reception will be held after interment at the Brenny Funeral Chapel Reception Room.

Robert was born on July 16, 1917 in Brainerd, MN to Carl and Jennie (Anderson) Engholm. He married Vivian Potter on January 27, 1942 in Brainerd, MN. Robert served in the United States Army during WWII. He worked for Burlington Northern Railroad for over 35 years. Robert and Vivian are members of Zion Lutheran Church in Brainerd, MN. He loved to fish and especially loved hunting for deer. Robert's family will remember his love of being around people, especially the grand and great-grandchildren. He never met anyone he did not like.

Robert will be missed by is wife of 71 years, Vivian "Babe"; children, Larry (Katherine), Tim (Sue), and Rick (Nancy); daughter-in-law, Carolyn Engholm 12 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; brother, Kenneth (Luella); and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Jennie; infant son, Gerald; sons, Keith and Terrance; 10 brothers and sisters.
