Robert Dobson

Robert "Bob" Dobson, 71, of Brainerd, died Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at Essentia Health - St. Mary's Hospital in Duluth, MN. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, September 15 at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter. Family and friends are invited to gather one hour prior to services.

Bob was born June 27, 1943, in Brainerd, the son of Robert and Ilamae (Strang) Dobson. He worked for many years at North Star Plating before changing jobs and helping at Kohl's Auto Salvage. Bob loved to tell stories - especially ones that made everyone laugh. He often repeated his jokes and tales much to his family's "enjoyment". He liked to fish. Bob's proudest moment was when he became a father to twins - "JenJen" and "Beccer Ann".

He will be missed by his children, Rebecca Ann Shearer and Jennifer Lynn Dobson; grandchildren, Maranda, Presley, and Kyle; siblings, Roberta Livingston, Frank Dobson, Marlys Matten, and MaryAnn Bajula; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Melissa; his parents; and his sister, Margaret Doty.
