Robert F. Badgerow, age 68, passed away Sunday morning, December 6, 2009, at St. Josephs Medical Center in Brainerd. According to Bob and Katys wishes there will be no services.
Bob was born on June 26, 1941, in Peoria, IL, the son of Chet and Nellie Badgerow. Following graduation from high school he attended a trade school for carpentry. On October 24, 1959, he was united in marriage to Kathleen Braden in Bartonville, IL. Bob was a self employed carpenter for 50 years. One of his favorite pastimes was making unique bird houses. He would go to the North Shore and collect stones and rocks to decorate his creations. It was an honor and highlight of Bobs life to be featured on the Jason Davis Show in October 2009 with his beautiful bird houses. Following a 10 year struggle with cancer Bob has donated his body to the University of Minnesota Medical School in hope of helping someone with cancer. Bob was a member of St. Christopher's Catholic Church in Nisswa.
Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Katy, of Pequot Lakes; parents, Chet and Nellie Badgerow of Richland Hill, TX, who recently celebrated their 70th anniversary; a sister, Barb (Jon) Sears of Azlo, TX; children, Tammy (Dan) Macejak of Texas, Trudy (Randy) McDaniel of Indiana, and Andrew (Connie) Baderow of Brainerd; also the love of his life, his grandchildren, Toby (Maura) Keogel of Texas, and Megan McDaniel of Indiana; and special doggie friends, Punkinand Jackson.
