Robert Allers

Robert (Bob) Allers, 52, of Verndale, MN passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 surrounded by his wife, Dawn and loving family, after a battle with liver cancer. Services for Bob will be 3:00PM, Friday, March 18, 2016 at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples with Father Aaron Kuhn officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation beginning at 1:00PM until the time of services.

Robert was born the youngest of eight children in Minneapolis, MN on September 25, 1963 to Peter and Carol (Bickford) Allers. He spent his childhood in Minneapolis. Bob moved to the Verndale area 20 years ago. He worked as a roofer for many years, for different companies. After a long, loving relationship of 15 years, Bob married Dawn (Pepple) on September 18, 2010 in Aitkin, MN. He then became a father and grandfather of six, and a great grandfather of one. Bob's hobbies were being outside, cutting wood, yard work, and swimming. He was a hard worker and truly enjoyed his family, friends and all of the get togethers.

Bob is survived by his wife, Dawn; daughter, Pamela (Virgil Haataja) Reiman; son, Eric (Jenny) Reiman; grandchildren, Saha (Justin Nehk) Petersdorf, Micheal Fink-Wright; Kira Reiman, Haley Reiman, Jacob Haataja; great grandson, Cody Nehk; brother, Tom (Cassie) Allers; sisters, Mary (JoJo) Saukerson, Jane Allers, Nancy (Mark) Halverson, Colleen Angier; his dog, Casper and cat, Beavis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Peter and Carol Allers; brother, Brad Allers; sister, Julie Cofer; brother in law, Joe Angier; grandson, Tyler Reiman; and dogs, Lulu and Harley. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Staples, MN.
