Robert (Bob) C. Albrecht of Baxter, Minnesota was called home to the Lord on December 26, 2020. He was born on March 12, 1929 in Elysian Township in Le Suer County Minnesota to Edward and Ida (Roemhildt) Albretch. He married his high school sweetheart Lillian Landt on October 12, 1952. He graduated from Medford High School and attended the University of Minnesota and some technical schools. Bob proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from 1946 to 1948 in Korea He worked for Northwest Airlines and radio station KYED from 1951 to 1962. Bob was particularly proud of his career with 3M serving the company from 1952 to 1988 in several locations in the Midwest.
Bob and Lillian lived in the Nisswa area from 1988 to 2015 where they attended Living Savior Lutheran Church. He was also a committed servant for the Gidoen’s in the Brainerd camp and Meals on Wheels.
He is survived by his wife Lillian and three children: Dawn Rudolph (Nisswa, MN), Timothy Albrecht (Cambridge, MN), and Sang Wan Albrecht (Oakdale, MN); eight grandchildren (1 deceased); and nine great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded to glory by his three sisters Bernice Hinkie, Dorothy Zelinske and Florence Wolfe.
A private family memorial service will be held at Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Baxter, Minnesota and due to the pandemic restrictions this service will only be open to family. A Celebration of Life will be scheduled and announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage memorials to be directed to either the Gideon’s or Samaritan’s purse.
