Rita Boog

Rita Mae Boog, age 68, of Crosslake, died on Thursday, May 24, 2001, at St. Joseph?s Medical Center in Brainerd. A gathering of family and friends, in memory of Rita, will be held at the Brenny Funeral Chapel of Crosslake on Tuesday, May 29, at 2:00 PM. Arrangements are with Brenny Funeral Chapel of Crosslake.
Rita Armstrong Boog was born on April 8, 1933 in St. Paul, MN, to George and Helen (O?Dey) Armstrong. She grew up and attended schools in St. Paul. She was married to Leo Boog on May 15, 1954, in St. Paul. The couple worked and raised their family in St. Paul. They moved permanently to Crosslake in 1987. Rita was a member of the Crosslake American Legion Auxiliary and the Color Guard.

Rita Boog is survived by her husband Leo; 2 daughters, Robyn Kielsa of Rush City, and Peg Boog of Crosslake; 4 sons, David Boog of Minneapolis, Leo Boog, Jr. of St. Paul, Stephen Boog of Emily, and William Boog of Mounds View; 2 sisters, Betty (Rich) Mossong of St. Paul, and Jude (John) Chada of Crosslake; 8 brothers, George (Andre) Armstrong of WI, Mark (Anna Marie) Armstrong of CA, James Armstrong of St. Paul, Richard (Sue) Armstrong of Crosslake, Michael (Mary) Armstrong of St. Paul, Frank (Maralinda) Armstrong of St. Croix, Patrick (Rose) Armstrong of Pine City, and Steven (Cathy) Armstrong of South St. Paul; and 11 grandchildren. Her parents, a brother John, and a son Michael preceded her in death.
