Richard Weiss

Richard H. Weiss, 95, of Pierz, MN died on Sunday, March 27, 2016 at Pierz Villa. Services for Richard will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 11:00AM at Holy Cross Church in Harding, MN with visitation beginning at 10:00AM at the church. Interment will be at the Holy Cross Catholic Parish Cemetery in Harding, MN.

Richard was born on September 15, 1920 in Lastrup, MN to Hubert and Elizabeth Weiss. He married Pauline Kowalczyk on August 22, 1939 in Harding, MN. He lived in the Harding area where he was a farmer and also a heavy equipment operator. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing, and snowmobiling.

Richard is survived by his daughters, Grace (Joseph) Dembouski of Harding, MN and Marlene Wahl of Golden Valley, MN; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, Julie and Keith Anderson (Emma and Grace), Jacki and Steve Barthelemy (Jeremy and Matthew), Jeff and Dusty Dembouski (Tyler and Chris), Kevin and Kari Dembouski (Daisy and Ivy), and Kimberly and Bryan Bednarek (Briana and Ethan); and sisters, Rosemary Skiba and Mildred Kurtz. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Pauline; and three brothers, Leonard, Harry, and Ed. Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Randall, MN.
