Richard Rofidal

Richard "Dick" L. Rofidal, 75, of Brainerd, MN died at VA Medical Center in St. Cloud, MN on Wednesday, May 25, 2016.

Dick was born on December 16, 1940 in Brainerd, MN son of the late Louis and Clare Bernice "Bunny" (McMasters) Rofidal. He graduated from Brainerd High School in 1958 and enlisted in the US Marine Corps. Dick served in various branches of the United States Military for 41 years. He was married to Loa Jeanne Blackwell from 1962-1973. Dick married Susan "Sue" Davis on July 11, 1981 in Brainerd, MN. He retired from Potlatch with 31 years. Dick enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and traveling. He was a member of the American Legion, Minnesota Deer Hunters Association, Marine Corps League, TREA, and LALAC.

Dick is survived by his wife of 35 years, Sue; children, Todd (Janice) Rofidal of England, Traci Rofidal of California, Chad Rofidal of Alaska, and Angela (Todd) Caswell of Brainerd; two step-children, Melissa Davis of Baxter and Justin (Lori) Davis of Minneapolis; brother, Robert "Bob" (Sue) Rofidal; and ten grandchildren, Hannah, Oliver, Devon, Ryan, Taylor, Madison, Gavin, Jaeden, Mary, and Eva. He was preceded in death by his parents; and one grandson, Chase.

Private Family Services will be held at Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Little Falls, MN.
