Richard Oseland

Richard "Dick" W. Oseland, 81, of Brainerd, died Friday, February 22, 2013 at Senior Class Care in Nisswa, MN. Services will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 27, at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter with Pastor Dwight Johnson officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.

Dick was born May 4, 1931 in Dultuh, MN, the son of Clair and Evelyn (Ronn) Oseland. The family moved to NE Brainerd where Dick attended Brainerd High School. In 1951, he was united in marriage to Dolly Seybolt. Dick worked as a surveyor for Crow Wing County Highway Department for many years. His family and grandchildren were very important to him. Dick was an avid outdoorsmen who loved fishing and golfing. He also enjoyed sports - especially boxing, baseball and football.

He will be missed by his wife, Dolly; his children, Rick (Joan) Oseland, of Nisswa, Terry (Gail) Oseland, of Nisswa, and Karen (Bruce) Hayhoe, of Chippewa Falls, WI; his brother, Ron (Bunny) Oseland, of Nisswa; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Bev.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter.
