Dick worked at many places in Sacred Heart MN area and after finishing up his AAS Electronics Degree at Granite Falls Vocational college he started work at the Renville Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Cooperative. After that the family moved to Sartell where he worked at the St Regis paper plant. Then over the years he moved to Texas, Illinois, Michigan working at various paper plants as a Electrical/Instrumentation Supervisor. He was involved in many projects around the house from working on his Porches to house renovation projects. He always had help from his grandsons (Matthew and Benjamin) that always made him smile. Since he had an interest in baseball growing up he also enjoyed seeing as many games his daughter Kate played in and later helped coach T-Ball for Grandson Matthew. He also enjoyed the many laughs at the weekly morning breakfast out with his daughter in law Jody. His pride in being a Veteran had also rubbed off on his daughter also joining the armed forces.
