Richard Holman, Sr.

Richard "Dick" Arthur Holman Sr., 78, of Baxter, MN died on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at Essentia Health/St. Joseph's Medical Center in Brainerd, MN. Funeral Services for Dick will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 11:00AM at Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter, MN with visitation one hour prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be in Cohasset, MN.

Dick was born on August 27, 1938 in Grand Rapids, MN to Verlyn and Margaret (Clusiau) Holman. He married Patricia Quesnel on May 17, 1958. Dick entered the United States Navy in 1956. Dick was a member of the Lino Lakes Police Force where he was awarded a citation star for bravery. Dick also was very active in serving his community in various ways. He worked for US West for 30 years before retiring in 1995. Dick enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping.

Dick is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pat of Brainerd; daughter, Mary of Pequot Lakes, MN; son, Rick (Kim) of Royalton, MN; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Verlyn and Margaret; and daughter, Michele.
