Richard Eisenschenk

Richard “Rich” H. Eisenschenk, 68, passed away unexpectedly on May 3, 2023 at his home in Hackensack, MN. Services will be on Saturday, May 13, at Kline Funeral Home, Pine River, MN. Visitation will be at 10 AM followed by the service at 12 PM.     

Rich was born to Dorothy A. and Henry A. Eisenschenk on March 24, 1955. He worked at AMPI in Paynesville for 45 years before retiring in May of 2021. He married Jean M. Schwagerl on October 8, 1988 at St. Cloud, MN and he and Jean have two daughters, Amber (Eisenschenk) Thomsen and Kristen Eisenschenk.

Rich and Jean moved to Hackensack, MN in July of 2021 to enjoy retirement. Rich enjoyed fishing, camping, hunting, putting together puzzles and framing them, and going antiquing with family and friends, cooking, gardening and family gatherings. Rich was always at the ready to help others. 

Rich is survived by his wife, Jean; daughters, Amber (Travis) Thomsen of Cold Spring, and Kristen Eisenschenk of St. Cloud; sister, Ann (Tim) Gertken; brothers: Gerald (Theresa) Eisenschenk, Allan (Mary) Eisenschenk, Duane (Luan) Eisenschenk; uncle, Marcellus Schreifels; nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Henry Eisenschenk; in-laws, Mary Kay and Henry Schwagerl; and aunts and uncles who have gone before him. 

Donations to the Paws and Claws Rescue and Resort in Hackensack are preferred in lieu of flowers.
