Richard Dotzler

Richard John Dotzler, 75, Columbia Heights, died November 29, 2006 at Benedictine Health Care Center at Innsbruck. He was born January 4, 1931, in Aitkin to John and Hazel (Griffith) Dotzler. He was a 1950 graduate of Aitkin High School and then attended Dunwoody Institute for the auto-electirc program. He then worked for Westling Manufacturing for 37 years. In 1959 he met Gladys Sears; together they enjoyed many years traveling between the cities and thier vacation home in Aitkin. He enjoyed fishing and cars. In 1998 he came to Innsbruck as a patient and began to volunteer. He sold candy at the Handi-cart and did puzzles. Gladys and their cat, Chelsea, were faithful companions to Dick.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. He is survived by his faithful friend, Gladys Sears, Columbia Heights and her family; his brother Terry (Joan) Dotzler, of Aitkin; his sisters, Mary (Roland) Raisler, Dickenson, ND and Janice Gilliland, Moab, UT; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
